Read the scriptures

Ok, my friend Tiffany had this posted on her website, and I'm trying it out. Go to http://www.readthescriptures.com/ you can set up a schedule and it sets up time table for you to complete the scriptures. I have my set up to read the Book of Mormon in a year, for me this works awesome, because it sends you the amount of passages you need to read for the day straight to your email address. You can also get more sent if you want to read more. You can even read the Bible and Doctrine and Doctrine and Covenants. I have used it for a week so far, and I'm doing great! Try it out! Since I'm on the computer all the time, it works great! There is also an audio version of it, but I haven't tried it out yet.
Thank you Tiffany for passing it on to me!
We must study the scriptures according to the Lord's commandment (3 Ne. 23:1-5); and we must let them govern our lives and the lives of our children...So I ask all to begin now to study the scriptures in earnest, if you have not already done so" (President Spencer W. Kimball, 1976)

My kid did the funniest thing--he is no dummy!

Ok, so this may be only funny to me...but my kid (Lucky my doggie) is so spoiled! I usually give a treat after he comes in from going potty. Anyway, so I had one left (normal size) and one tiny piece. I gave him the tiny piece first, he had it in his mouth, then just spit it out and begged for the big one! I kept trying to give him the little one, and to no avail he kept spitting it out! My doggie is no dummy! He likes the big one! :)
2 minutes later---small piece is now gone :)

Concert was awesome!

Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean performed last night at Cricket Pavilion. It was so much fun! Rascal Flatts this year was 10 times better than last year! They played all of their own songs (last year that played many other artists songs). Anyway, the stage was awesome too with fireworks and colors! We had great seats! It was so hot though, I think I sweat more than I did in Vegas walking around! Anyway, here are some of my favorite pictures from it. My favorite Rascal is Jay--he's the dark haired one that plays the bass guitar and keyboards sometimes. He was a riot last night! It was also Joe Donn's birthday (the hipee looking one). I'm on for next year if they come! Jason Aldean was cute too! I only knew a couple of his songs, but he was fun. Oh, Rascal Flatts has a new album coming out on Sept. 25th! I'm getting it that day! :) I might try to make a slide show of all of our pictures as well :)

We will never forget

September 11th...a day we will never forget! I will always remember where I was and what I was doing that early morning in 2001. I just had gotten out of Institute Council Meeting at NAU (6:00 am every Tuesday). I was on my way to Microeconomics class (7:00 am), when my friend Laura told me that a plane had crashed into the twin towers in NY. I kind of just laughed it off, thinking how could a pilot not see the building? Anyway, nothing too much was said in class, and then I went home before I had to go to work at Wal-Mart (yes I was a cashier). My roomies were finally up with the TV on, and we started talking about it. It was then that I realized we were under attack. By that time, the 2nd tower had been hit, and I'm not sure when the other plane went down at PA or the Pentagon. I went to work, and the store was empty! All the cashiers were standing around, and we were usually all busy. The TV monitors had the news on, and I spent my whole shift watching it just about with a few customers here and there. I went on my break and had a missed called from my dad. He told me what had happened, and that my brother (who was in the Air Force) might be on stand by. I was scared then! It was a horrible day, week, month, and now years! I should have gone to the memorial service NAU was having, but I didn't, I just wanted to watch the news. To all those who lost their lives, to all the heros, and to all our servicemen and women, I'm truly grateful to you all! You are my heroes!

I'm so excited....I just can't hide it

Ok, I have 2 fun things coming up that I'm so excited for! 2 concerts! WOO HOO!

RASCAL FLATTS!

Ok, so this is a tradition, and I totally love it! The first time I saw these guys perform was when I was at college at NAU. My friend Laura got us tickets for $10 each! So, Laura, Holly, Clarissa, Brecca (my roomies) and I went to the concert! They were performing at Williams, AZ at their rodeo grounds. It was right after their 1st CD came out, so they weren't very popular, but we loved their music. $10...can't beat that! Then last year, they came to Phoenix, and Clarissa, Jill (my roomies) and I went again...this time we paid about $40 and sat out in the lawn at Cricket Pavillion...not the best seats, and couldn't see them very well...but it was still awesome! Now, they are performing this coming Thursday again at Cricket Pavillion and we bought good seats! Now the price was about $85 (so expensive but we'll be able to see them up front), and I'm extastic! Clarissa will be coming again, and also my sister Monika. They also have a new CD coming out at the end of the month! Can I get a WOO HOO!

Next on the list....Arizona State Fair! --Little Big Town and Sugarland

Well, yes I could have gotten these for cheaper too, by just paying admission to the state fair, and just go get seats, but I wanted to sit up close and personal too. I have seen Little Big Town before at a concert in Vegas with my brother Corey, and they were good. I don't know their music quite as well, but it comes as a package and I love Sugarland! I have never seen Sugarland in concert but it'll be a blast. I got my Granny and my Uncle Rusty to come with me...so that'll be fun. Of, they are performing on Nov. 1st, so I have awhile to wait for that, but can I get another WOO HOO :)

There's always a price to pay when you want to have fun! :)
