I've become domesticated!

My mom took the time out of her busy schedule to help me become a little domesticated! She helped me measure out the material for my new curtains. I pinned, ironed, and sewed these cute little valances. I have these 3 little windows (16 X 16) and we spruced them up a bit! I love them! We're going to make one more valance to go over my sliding glass door, SOMEDAY :) It was fun learning a new skill! Thanks Mom!

Mixed Emotions

Yesterday was a sad, but good day. My parents placed my Grandma Hall in a rest home; it has come to that time in her life that this is the next step. She has lived with my parents for about 3 ½ years and I have enjoyed getting to see her almost every day. We have had good days and bad days with her but I know my parents will never regret having her in their home. She’s starting to really lose her memory, which is so sad to see her like that. She hardly eats anything, and now it’s hard to get her to take care of herself. This decision has not come easy, but I know it’s the best thing for her and for my parents. We were lucky to find a rest home that only has like 5 ladies in there, its LDS ran, and is very clean. This will be the best place for her. We will visit her every weekend. Last night it was strange not seeing her sitting in her couch, but I know this is what needs to be done. Everyone loves her! We go to church and the people flock around her! Even in the stores people treat her so nice. She loves to people watch, and she’s not scared to find out more about people if she sits next to them. Even though some days she ditched out of church, she still has a strong testimony.

Grandma…we’ll miss you but we’ll still see you!
