Venting....needing....exhausted

Ok...so, yes, I'm venting once again, but man, when it rains it pours in my life!

Scenario One:
Time: Yesterday- 5 weeks recovery after gall bladder surgery, I'm finally feeling fine and realizing I am all back to normal. Well, I look outside and see the jungle in my back yard. Yes the weeds have grown 2 feet tall in 5-6 weeks since I last mowed. Thinking to myself, "Man Michelle, wouldn't it be nice to have a man in your life that would just go out and mow this for you?" (DISCLAIMER: no pictures, due to the lack of me just wanting to finish mowing the dang jungle, but I have the after picture) (I also had to wash my levi quilt because I had to store it in the garage (it's too hot to have on a bed now...and there were mouse droppings in the box)

This is my yard after I have mowed :)
This is my blanket out to dry :)

Scenario Two:

Time: A couple of weeks ago. When I couldn't lie in my bed after about 2 hours of trying (remember, I'm still recovering from major surgery on my stomach, and I'm a stomach sleeper), I move to the recliner, this is my only safe haven to get some sleep. I'm waken during the night by scratching and chewing, yes, there is a mouse somewhere in the house. Thinking to myself, "Man Michelle, wouldn't it be nice to have a man in your life to catch this nasty little beast."

My lovely bed for a couple of weeks

A lot of mouse traps

Scenario Three:

Time: Yesterday at 5:30 am. I get to work and check my yahoo account, because I'm lazy at night and I don't want to get on the computer since I have been on it all day at work. I get an email from my landlords basically stating: "Michelle, the roof in the garage has collapsed, why didn't you tell us so we could fix it, we are coming tomorrow to fix it, please move all your stuff out of the garage." Now, remember, I do not ever get in the garage because of the following:

1. I can't park in there, there's too much stuff from my landlords and myself
2. Haven't needed to get anything out of the garage because I can't lift anything (hence my surgery)
3. Haven't needed the lawn mower because I can't have any strenuous activity (hence the surgery)
4. I leave my house at 4:30 am, and I sometimes do not get home until dark (so the roof collapsing noise probably happened when I wasn't home)
Now, I'm thinking to myself, "Man Michelle, wouldn't it be nice to have a man in your life that can help you move all those boxes you have stored in the garage, into the house, into the spare bedroom?

Before Pictures (yes I have a lot of crap)

After the move (this is my spare bedroom and outside)

Ok, so I'm venting that I have became lazy because I haven't done anything for 5 1/2 weeks, and that I am having to do it alone. Yes, my mom and dad said that they can help me, but they have been busy, so I did myself! But man, it sure would have been nice to have a man help me. Do you think I need to meet Mr. Right just to be my handy man? Or that I am lonely and need him now! I'm thinking, it's a little bit of both, and some more added information. My 10 year class reunion is in a month and I have to go alone. Plus, I'm thinking we are headed towards the last days and I really want to find my eternal companion. Plus (I know you are thinking to yourself, can she shut up already), I am all for marriage!

VOTE YES on 102!!!

Thanks for listening to my vent session. I'm exhausted, but I'm sure glad my projects are done (FOR NOW)...and Mr. Right.....WHERE ARE YOU????

Mr. Right is probably thinking "Man, Michelle, you have a lot of crap, you are lazy, and I don't need you quite yet.

But then I'm thinking, "Man, Mr. Right, but I can take care of you (laundry, food, etc., if you could just do these little favors for me)...yes, I'm going to have the honey-do lists

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!

Music!

So, I need your help! I’m in charge of rounding up some music for the class reunion (like to put on a CD to have playing in the background at the reunion)…..

Can you name some songs when we were in high school that was popular? The years were around 1994-1998? If you have the name of the song and the artist this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

A Day of Remembrance and Reverence

Yes, this is a day early, but I want to get my thoughts out there :)

Ok, so it's been over a year since I started my blog, and now some of the same posts are coming to my mind....here is what I wrote last year, because I still feel the same way about September 11th! Wow, that day forever changed history. I'm so grateful to be an American and live in this land of freedom. I'm grateful for those who serve and risked their lives for our freedom! This is to you America! I love you! And to those who lost their lives that day, you will always be remembered!

From my previous post last year :)

We will never forget

September 11th...a day we will never forget! I will always remember where I was and what I was doing that early morning in 2001. I just had gotten out of Institute Council Meeting at NAU (6:00 am every Tuesday). I was on my way to Microeconomics class (7:00 am), when my friend Laura Sauls (Gordon) told me that a plane had crashed into the twin towers in NY. I kind of just laughed it off, thinking how could a pilot not see the building? Anyway, nothing too much was said in my econmics class about it, since the class was so early, and then I went home before I had to go to work at Wal-Mart (yes I was a cashier). My roomies were finally up with the TV on, and we started talking about it. It was then that I realized we were under attack. By that time, the 2nd tower had been hit, and I'm not sure when the other planes went down at PA or the Pentagon. I went to work, and the store was empty! All the cashiers were standing around, and we were usually all busy. The TV monitors had the news on, and I spent my whole shift watching it just about with a few customers here and there.

I went on my break and had a missed called from my dad. He told me what had happened, and that my brother (who is in the Air Force) might be on stand by. I was scared then! It was a horrible day, week, month, and now years! I should have gone to the memorial service NAU was having, but I didn't, I just wanted to watch the news. To all those who lost their lives, to all the heros, and to all our servicemen and women, I'm truly grateful to you all! You are my heroes!
