Happy Halloween

Heather, Grace, and I made our M&M customes for a party on Saturday night, we had a great time! We ate dinner, and drove around trying to find the finishing touches (3 stores to find white gloves in Valley)....then Saturday Heather and I made it the party, it was so much fun! Thanks Ladies!

1. Fact: When I was little, I had the biggest crush on Michael Jackson! I would see him on TV and even kiss the screen! This was back in the day of “Thriller” and stuff, when he was cool!

2. Fact: I love my family! We do so many things together! Even last night after dinner, my mom scrubbed my feet and I did hers! My dad came over this morning and fixed my potty! My grandma Hall tells me I’m a great kid, and my granny and I do so much together! We also love to play games, laugh, hunt, fish, camp, quad ride, boating, and just plain relaxing!

3. Fact: I want to marry a Polynesian! When I went to Hawaii and to the Polynesian Cultural Center, I fell in love with these people! They are great dancers, so friendly, and some can even climb coconut trees!

4. HABIT: My sister calls me a clean freak! She says that I would die in her house, where they just kick off their shoes or not fold their laundry….isn’t it just common sense? Just kidding, I know I have a problem, but I clean up so I don’t have a bigger mess later on

5. HABIT: I let people take advantage of me. I’m a people pleaser and will do anything so I don’t get on someone’s bad side. People take advantage, and I’ll just do it!

6. HABIT: Sometimes when I’m in a depressed mood, I spend money! I’ll go buy me some new shirt or something, and I don’t make enough money to do that! But it does make me feel better for a short while, until I have no money!

I sit on my buttocks all day long at the computer and review transcripts. Supposedly you need a bachelor’s degree to accomplish this, but I think anyone can do it.

Well, I don’t have a spouse…but this is want I want in one. Loving, strong, funny, capable to be independent while also depending on me and vice versa, strong in the gospel, priesthood holder, temple go-er, handyman…the list can go on and on….or something like Chandler Bing---just an LDS version

I can shoot water out of my front teeth like a fountain, I can burp the ABC’s, and I’m a dork!

Most embarrassing moment?
At Tucson during a softball tournament, I was very sick…missed several practices (had 2 ear infections, a busted ear drum) so I didn’t think I was going to play. Well, coach Magargee put me in to bat, I walked! Started jogging down to first base, and I didn’t make it! I fell face first into the dirt! I had the white chalk line down me…and I was mortified! All the girls were laughing, so were parents, until they realized why I fell. Anyway, I figured I would be able to sit the bench…nope! Being the lady Magargee was…made me go around the bases the whole time! GRRRR!

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
Australia, any Polyensian Island, Sweden, England, or Paris

Yummy---Pumpkin Rolls

Ok, a couple of years ago, I went with my Granny over to my cousin Jayne Fuller's house and we made pumpkin rolls. They are so good! And it's about that time of year to make some more! Thought I'd pass along the recipe :)

Pumpkin Rolls

3 Eggs (Beaten for 5 mins.)
1 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Pumpkin
1 tsp. Lemon Juice

Add:
¾ Cup Flour
½ tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ginger
½ tsp. salt


For Frosting:
6 oz. Cream Cheese
4 Tbs. Butter
½ tsp. vanilla
1 Cup Powdered Sugar

After mixing the Pumpkin Roll mix- pour into a greased and flour 9 X 13 pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes, and then roll in dish towel dusted with powdered sugar. Make frosting and spread in the middle, then re-roll (without the towel). Cut in pieces

Shirt update!!

Ok, I found a red shirt now for the wedding, and I'll be in the theme of the colors....also Grandma Hall was very excitd for me to find a red one so I can match her too! :)

Thanks for all your comments about it, you are getting me excited to get dressed up and be fancy for a day! (For those of you who know me at all...I hate being anything girly!!!)

I hate.....

DRESS SHOPPING!!! Yes, I'm a girl, but I hate shopping, and even more...dress shopping. I have such a disportioned body that it is ridiculous to find anything that fits, that is hip and trendy, and that covers my undies! I found a lot of of cute stuff for my mom, granny, and grandma...but nothing for me! I have broad shoulders, a smaller chest, a long torso, and short legs! Boy! Anyway...in 3 weeks is my brother Corey's wedding and we needed something special to wear! So, we settled on last Saturday, girl's day out to get our stuff. My mom walks into the first store and finds a dress (for the rehearsal and dinner), goes to the next store and finds some cool pants, goes to the the next store finds her dress and a top for the wedding. My granny finds her cool new jacket and pants in the first store. Grandma finds her a new shirt and skirt at the 2nd store....Monika and I found NOTHING!

Finally went to another store, and we both found cute new shirts. Mine is dark blue, and silky and fancy (and I'm going to wear the fancy pants my mom bought). It's an outdoor wedding, so we are all set! Now I just need some cute comfortable fancy shoes. Is there such a thing???? Anyway, the wedding is on Nov. 10th in Las Vegas (not a wedding chapel), so pictures of me and my fancy dressed family (this includes my dad and brother in a tux!!) will come then.

My Haunted House

Finally finished my haunted house! Boy it was a hard one to make! :) I love it too! :)

Sad day

Well, my fun will be coming to an end shortly. Today we had a meeting at work and "CHANGE IS ALWAYS HAPPENING" was basically the theme. Well, we knew this day was coming, but I was hoping it wouldn't happen. Starting Nov. 30th, my benefit of telecommuting (working from home) will come to an end. I will have to drive to the office (30 miles or 50 minutes one way) to work every single day for the rest of my life at UOP. It's been so nice to be at home, save gas, time, and it's easy! I'm so sad! I now have to wake up at 4:00 every morning to leave by 5:00 to get to work at 6:00....good times! APRIL hurry up...so I can finish school and look for another job closer to home!

What a weekend!

This weekend I went to Safford to see my cousins! I had a great weekend. I drove there on Friday and went to my cousin's apartment. We then went to the county fair. It was fun! I saw some people that I knew from EA, and even saw someone from my past. It's crazy to run into this particular person, because if I had made different choices, my life would have been so much different. I was pondering that on the way home today. I wonder what I would be doing, where I would be if I had made a choice of staying with this person. I'm grateful for everything that I have done and have in my life, but it's funny to think about sometimes about what would happen if .... oh well...what's done is done! I know I probably would have never finished school at NAU, got a job, and made so many new friends. CRAZY! Blast from the past???

Ok, back to my fun weekend! So, at the fair we looked at the exhibits...ran into a bunch of my cousins! I love you FAUNCES! And then we watched Elvis perform! Ok, this Elvis was hilarious. He was coming up in the stands to all the ladies and caressing their cheeks and was even kissing some of them! I was laughing so hard, until he headed my way! OH MY! This Elvis was doing it to me! I was so embarrassed, and all of my cousins were cheering (he goes boy you have more fans than I do!). Oh man! Sorry, no good pics were taken!

Then we got up early and met for breakfast. We had some good laughs and good stories...then spent the rest of the day shopping! My cousin Amber helped her friend Kara pick up some awesome outfits for when she does student teaching...I'm going to have to hire Amber for me to do the same! Then we went back to her apartment, she made an awesome dinner and we played games with her friends.

I had a great weekend, and I miss Safford/Thatcher. It was so beautiful! Thank you Amber and your family for all you do for me!

My New Creations

Here are my new decorations. We usually make these for Christmas time, but have now branched out to other Holidays. My mom, dad and I have a tradition where we make a new decoration for the yard during Thanksgiving, but now we have been doing more. It's fun. My dad cuts them out of plywood, and we just paint away. These ones were fun to do...I love my Dracula one the best, but they are all so cute. I'm still working on a Haunted House one, and hopefully it'll get finished before Halloween! Then I'll post it later :) Maybe these will entice trick or treaters to come to my door! Out at my parent's house (in the boonies) we didn't get trick or treaters...so I'm hoping some stop by in my neighborhood!
