Better late than never...

I love this time of year, and I'm truly grateful for many things. Here are my top 10 :) Enjoy!

1. My family! They would do anything for me and they do!
2. My friends! What would we be without friends?
3. My church! Without my belief in my Savior and my church, I would be nothing!
4. Technology! Wow, we can communicate all around the world, even with my sister in Korea!
5. A job! Yes, my job can be rather crazy, but I'm grateful that I have one.
6. A roof over my head! I'm very thankful for being able to support myself and live reasonably well.
7. Talents! Even though talents are hard to find, I'm grateful for the ones I do have and I can't wait to discover more!
8. Music! I get touched by music so easily, I think it's how the spirit talks to me.
9. December! This is the month I was born in and the month we Celebrate the Savior's birth, how awesome is that?
10. Blogs! I have found so many friends I have lost touch with through blogs, I love to keep up with everyone!

Amy's Wedding

Last week my mom and I went to Amy Hall's wedding...it was awesome. She looked so beautiful! They had a fun thing there that I have never seen before, it was a photo booth. You go in and take 4 pictures, then cut one off and put in their book, and keep the rest (my mom took one and I kept the other 2...and now Mr. and Mrs Riter have one). It was so fun and cute! I might have to steal the idea if it's ever my time! :)

A new found respect...

So, I have found a new found respect for mother's. I know you're all going to laugh at me when I compare myself to all you wonderful mothers out there, but I feel like a mom to my adorable dog Lucky. On Friday he had to have a minor surgery on his ears, I was worried all day long until I picked him up! When I got him in the car, he was crying and moaning, and I just wanted to comfort him! So, by the time we got home, he was in a lot of pain, because I haven't seen him cry like that. So, we got in the recliner, and just cuddled! I stroked his head and told him he'll feel better soon. He's been kind of out of it here and there, and just a bawl baby! So, I know what you all go through when your babies are sick, it's heartbreaking! I have respect for all of you , and especially my mother who is always taking care of me! Love ya!

Here's my baby, he looks so down and unhappy, I can tell he's not feeling well. Today he is a lot better though, until I give him his ear drops :)

Shower Time

On Saturday, the dogs played in the yard all day, boy were they filthy! So, Auntie Shelby (my parent's dog) and Lucky got to take a shower together! It was so stinkin' cute! :) Shelby jumped right in, and of course, my little baby was scared to death, but he made it in, and is all clean, for today anyway.

Funny story about my baby. I took him to the vet on Friday to get his ears flushed (he has some build-up). Anyway, he's the biggest baby (my mom calls him a whimp)! He bawled and made such awful noises (made me want to cry because he wanted his mommy) that they couldn't get it down. So, now I have to pay $200 to have him knocked out so they can clean his ears and get all the junk out and even clip his toes. Oh my! My baby is a cry baby! :)

Enjoy the cute pictures!

Better late than never?

So, Halloween was fun! Monika and I brought Grandma Hall to my house to pass out candy to the trick or treaters. We also got pizza, yummy! Anyway, last year we ran out of candy, so Monika and I bought like 8 bags of candy! This year, we had maybe 20 trick or treaters, and some of those came a couple of times :) Anyway, here are some pictures.

Lucky and his bandanna

Big Dog!

Monika danced in the street to entice trick or treaters, maybe this is why we didn't have any?

Our first trick or treater, he was so cute! They came twice!

Grandma Hall passing out candy

Me and my wig (ok, it's Monika's wig)

I was lazy and didn't carve a pumpkin, it's fake!

Me passing out candy...the little pumpkin man talks and lights up, thanks mom for letting us borrow it

Grandma Hall had fun!

We sat outside, it was nice!

One Long Night

So, I'm a worrier, I'll just put that out there from the start. Well, Monika was supposed to land in Korea about 2:00 PM our time yesterday afternoon. She hadn't called, so we figure, oh she's busy going through customs, tracking down luggage, finding her dog who also made the flight. Well, never heard from her. My mom was so calm through all of it, I don't know how she did it! Anyway, I was up all night long, sick to my stomach and couldn't sleep! I called my mom like 3 times and she tried to calm me down. She said, we would have heard something if something was wrong. Well, I prayed to remain calm, and it helped a bit, and I would fall asleep for like 30 minutes, then wake up worrying again! My stomach is in knots, can we say ulcer here we come to Michelle? Anyway, I wake up at 3:30, my usual time to get ready for work, and take a quick shower and head to my mom and dad's to drop Lucky off to the babysitters (his grandparents), yes we do that every day too, he's spoiled. I pull up and my mom is finally talking to Monika! I started bawling! I'm so glad that she made it and can be with her husband, but I already miss her. She said they didn't get a phone and they had to go buy groceries, pillows, and blankets (it's really cold there), and just finally got to her new apartment. She said that she has a pink toilet and sink, can't wait to see those pictures. So, needless to say, Wednesday is going to be one long day. I have an hour of sleep, a headache, and a stomach ache, but I'm grateful that Monika made it safely to Korea. Monika, I miss you! Love ya!

Till We Meet Again

Tonight has been a sad night. We said goodbye to my sister, Monika. She's leaving to join her husband, Michael, in Korea. He is stationed there for the Army, and it is going to be 2 years or more for them to stay there. Ya, we have our sister moments when we fight, and everything, but I do love her and I'm going to miss her so much. Monika, be safe, and we hope to come see you sometime and see your new home!

My Friend Vincent

Sorry for the picture, this is at our reunion and I zoomed and cropped. But I received a phone call last night from my friend Saira saying someone has killed Vincent. I was in shock. I just saw him 2 weeks ago at our reunion. He was the same old Vinny so sweet, so nice and just a plain great guy. He just got married in September and was doing so well. I just can't believe it. I do not want to discuss the details of what happened, but I love his family! We did so much together since his sister and I were on a lot of sports teams together. Anyway, please say your prayers for the Romero family as they are going through this tough time. I'm completely in shock, but I just wanted to share my feelings, and it's hard to realize that we just saw him and now I'll never see him again or at a reunion. We were joking around at the reunion to not have it be 10 more years before we saw everyone again. Vinny, I'll always remember you! You always had a smile on your face, you are great!

My Pumpkin Patch

Ok, I have seen everyone posting their pumpkin's they have made, and here are mine. I made some for me, my mom, granny and my friend Clarissa for her birthday. They were super easy. Thanks Holly Brimhall (my cousin) for posting instructions on how to make them :)
