Goodbye ...Good Pal Shelby
Today has been a very hard day, one we have dreaded for a long time. Shelby (my parent's dog) has been sick for awhile (tick fever) and has gone downhill over the last year, this morning, she's not in pain anymore. My parents decided to put her to sleep, and it sure has been hard especially for my parents. She was a companion, friend, pal, protector, and a great dog. She taught Lucky everything he knows, how to shake, sit, high five, and I believe she even potty trained him. She was his mommy! We will miss you Shelby. Mom and Dad, my heart breaks for you, and I pray that you will be comforted at this time. We love Shelby, but she is finally free of pain, and probably chasing bunnies in Heaven (which she loved to do every day, but hasn't been able to in awhile). WE WILL MISS YOU AUNTY SHELBY!

Oooh that's so hard!! I'm sorry for your loss, they really do become part of the family!
Thanks Sissy and Lucky, we know that Shelby is better off and we know that she is running and playing in the water in Heaven. Shelby loved you both so much.
