A December 1st to Remember

What a way to bring December in! It's starting to feel like winter!! Yesterday and today have been such beautiful days in Arizona. We finally had some much needed rain! It rained so much that the roads were flooding out here in the boondocks. My mom, dad, and I were going to finish putting up the Christmas Decorations in the yard, but it's under water, so we decided to take a drive up towards Canyon Lake/Superstition Mountain and ended up going as far as Tortilla Flatt. Now, living out here I don't take advantage of the scenery because I see the Superstition Mountains everyday but this is an exception! It's breath taking! I see a lot of people every day taking pictures of the mountain, but today was picture worthy! We drove to Canyon Lake because they drained the lake to fix the generators at the dam, and it's crazy to see it without a lot of water, because that's where we usually take the boat out all summer You can see the bottom in some places, and all the junk in the water! Enjoy the pics! Superstition Mountain

Wow - great pictures! Rain in Arizona is always fun - unless of course its flooding. Looks like you had a great time!
