Happy Anniversary!!!

Sometimes it feels weird to write about myself!
Anyway, Happy Anniversary to myself! It's been 4 years as of today since I was employed at University of Phoenix. After I graduated from NAU with my bachelors I searched for 3 months for a job, and I couldn't find one. A guy from my ward turned in my resume for me to the University of Phoenix. I really didn't know what this company was about, and I was desperate. My parents were paying for everything, and I felt bad! So, I went in for an interview, and I was hired! I started working as an FIS (Financial Intake Specialist) where I worked with our students to get their financial aid paperwork ready to go. Then I was transferred over to Western International University (still part of the company) where I became involved with the admissions side of things. Then I was hired on as an Evaluator. Here I evaluate the admission paperwork, all incoming transcripts, and any waivers the students wants to have evaluated. I have been doing this for almost 3 years, and I like it. NOW, when I first started working here I didn't think I would be here this long, but I'm so very grateful to have a job so that I can be financially independent. It's so nice! And another bonus is that being an employee I get free tuition, and I only have to pay for my book fee. So, in about 7 more months, I will be a graduate with my Masters in Management with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
This is my goal! So, anyone out there....if you have a job in HR I'm headed your way in April! :)

Wow, 4 years? I guess when you are still in your 20s that sounds like a long time. Congratulations.

Good luck with the rest of the masters program.

Good for you Mitch, four years is quite the accomplishment. You should check out Rio Salado College's human resource department if you want a new job. I'll have my hubby forward all job openings there to you each month. OK?
