Tough Day
We have been cleaning out my grandparents house for a couple of months and moving everything out to the garage to try to have an Estate sale. It wasn't so bad getting the things ready it was kind of fun having memories of their stuff. I also got to take some of their things home that I will cherish them forever. We had two weekends of the sale and it wasn't that bad watching people buy their things and seeing them go. However that changed today. We closed the sale up and packed the items up in boxes again and took them to DI. This is the place they would want their things to go since its operated by the church. I had a very hard time here. As the workers were loading their things in their bins and I watched it being wheeled away.....I lost it. I know it's just "things" but it was like saying goodbye all over again. Its been over 3 months since grandma passed away and I still have tough days. It's been 12.5 years since grandpa passed away and I still have tough days. I guess no one ever really gets over the grieving process...it gets easier just knowing they are in a better place and with each other.
My dad and aunt went through some or their papers today and she found some letters I wrote them during my first year of college. It was fun reading them. I loved them and I know they loved me a lot! One of the letters I wrote them was when grandpa was in the hospital. I told them it was so good knowing grandpa was responding a little and opened his eyes. Its good for these memories because I thought he was in a coma after brain surgery so I was glad he was able to see the people he loved.
Even though their earthly possessions are now scattered in a lot of different homes ....its only stuff. I have the memories...the love....and the knowledge that I know I will see them again someday. Grandpa....I miss your tight squeezing hugs that would make your hearing aids squeal and dancing with you! Grandma I miss your smile, your hugs, your cold hands holding mine....and the way you always told me I was beautiful. I'm so grateful you are my family and that my dad is your son. But most of all I'm so proud to your granddaughter.

DDM Creations
It's been awhile since I updated our decoration blog, I just got bummed with no sales for awhile. My friend asked me to see it so it inspired me to update it again. I have to take some more pictures of our Christmas crafts when we put them up in a week...it was way over a year since I posted anything. I have now posted some of our Thanksgiving things we have made. I'm not here to sell them, but for everyone to admire them LOL Which one is worse? I love the way we do these and I love putting them in my yard. I think we do a pretty great job.

YSA VS. SINGLE ADULTS ---Apache Junction Style!
I learned some interesting tidbits about being single on Sunday. I attended a “fireside” for the AJ Stake for Single Adults. In our church, this is for anyone who is single (never married, divorced, windowed, etc) over the age of 30. AJ Stake doesn’t have anything in our area for Single Adults, just YSA (Young Single Adults, ages 18-29). So, we all met together and had an info session on what we wanted and how to start it. Here are some tidbits I learned:
1) YSA activities goals are to get married and learn the Gospel. More emphasis on getting married. Noted: if you are under 29 you need to get hitched! So, are you telling me now that I’m over 30 you’re not going to help me get hitched? Thank you!
2) Single Adult activity goals: These are for you to get out of your house and just socialize (not really to get married much anymore, not much emphasis on that anyway, this is my category I fit in now…over 30!)
3) From the Counselor in the Stake Presidency---girls don’t be shy, ask a boy out. That’s how my wife got me! Ummmm….no thank you! I have never been comfortable asking a boy out, even to the girl ask guy dances in high school. Noted: he said he was very shy and this is how all his relationship went, the girl pursued. Yes, this worked for my sister…she’s a pursuer, I’m a follower.
4) Single Adult Women- we were thanked for praising young mothers that they are doing a good job raising their babies and we smile and comfort those around us. Yes, this is exactly how I see my future going (sarcasm inserted here, I don’t know anything about raising babies, but good job!)
5) Single Adults in Apache Junction includes anywhere from 30 until you basically are no longer here (either by marriage or death??) I was the youngest one in that room! Getting ready to turn 32 has never felt so good! (Sarcasm once again)
6) Single Adults in the Apache Junction Stake equals over 800 of us! WHAT???? Yes, most are over the retirement age! LOL
7) Single Adults- if you never get married, be the best Aunt/Uncle, Friend, or whatever the case may be. Help those around you with children. So, my plan right now…is to become the Best Aunt out there! For my family…and also for my adoptive nieces/nephews! :)
Ok, enough sarcasm and stuff, but I thought it was funny. Especially that they flat out said Under 30 get married…and for anyone over, just socialize. Which is so not me right now. I’m so uncomfortable socializing anymore it’s ridiculous! But, one good thing out of this, I’m so thankful that they are going to start doing something to help us. I work really early in the mornings, so I can’t go to a lot of the activities like Family Home Evening clear in Tempe on Monday nights. Tennessee/Kentucky Trip
A couple of weeks ago we went to Tennessee and Kentucky to see my sister. We had a plan to do something every day and I made up a little song to remember it. It was funny at first, but I guess you had to be there.
Saturday-Grand Ole Opry Day
Sunday- Church Day
Monday- Amish Day
Tuesday- Baby Day
Wednesday- Temple Day
Thursday- Craft Day
Friday-Dollywood Day
Saturday-Fly home day.
We crammed in a lot, had a lot of fun and saw a lot of things! It was so beautiful back there with the fall colors changing. I stole this pictures from my mom's facebook so they aren't the best. Grand Ole Opry was awesome! We saw Rascal Flatts get inducted into the Opry and it was the Opry's birthday bash.
Sunday we went to church and drove around and looked and all the pretty trees.
Monday we went to a couple of Amish places, it was fun and some more sites!
Tuesday...baby day! Monika had her ultrasound and we found out she's having a GIRL! That's right...Mihaela Jane will be coming! (her name is pronounced like Ma-Hi-La and it means Michelle in Romanian) Then we did some shopping for the baby.
Wednesday we drove back to Nashville and attended the temple. It was a smaller temple, but it was awesome to be there with my family.
Thursday we drove to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN to see the craft loop and be able to go to Dollywood.
Friday we spent all day in Dollywood. It was a good one time place to go, probably won't ever go back.
Saturday, back to Nashville to fly home.

Have I mentioned lately?
That I'm going to be an Aunt?!?!?!? Monika and Michael are expecting Baby "M" (if it's a girl or boy, either name will start with M) sometime in late February/early March! They have been married for 7 1/2 years and this is the first time we've experienced the baby thing in our family! My brother has a son by marriage...but this one is the beginning and it's fun! Today they got ultrasound pictures and heard the heartbeat. So excited for them! We get to go see them in 3 weeks and they have another appointment scheduled and hopefully we'll find out if it's a girl or boy! So fun to see pictures and I can't wait to see this in real life! :)

Happy 5th Birthday to Lucky!
I can't believe it's been 5 years! On August 19th, was the 5 year anniversary we adopted Lucky I remember searching all day for a puppy. Dad, Mom, and Grandma Hall and I went to the dog pounds, PetsMart and everything. We stopped at a Petsmart and found a puppy, but it was a female. They said we couldn't have a female because I was living at my parents at the time and they had a female (Shelby) so I had to adopt a male puppy. I loved this puppy...and they said oh, she has brothers at the Petsmart on Power and the 202. We hopped in the truck and went. There were 2 boys left, but I saw Lucky! I saw his coloring (the tan and his eyeliner eyes) and fell instantly in love with him. They put him in my arms and I didn't let him go! I signed the papers and paid for him and bought all of his puppy needs! He was mine! He's been an awesome companion for these 5 years! He's always happy, hardly gets in trouble, goes riding on the quads, travels everywhere with me in the backseat, and I love that he talks and whines and wags his butt and thumps his tail when he's so happy! He's mine!
Happy birthday Lucky Magoo Hall! He got some bones and shared with Foxie...and also got birthday rides on the quad with grandpa and grandma! He was in 7th Heaven!
