Ok, I have 7 weeks of school left and I see the end in sight!!!
Tonight we went out as a family and had Chinese food (yummy) and my dad went out too! YEA! Anyway, so the best part was the exchange of reading everyone's fortune...I think I have the best one, because it fits my life right now...and I'm hoping the fortune is correct.
Here it goes:
"You're transforming yourself into someone who is certain to succeed."
As soon as I read it, I knew I needed to "blog" it...funny! :)

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma Hall!
I just wanted to give a shout out to my Grandma Hall. Ethel Jane Hulsey Hall was born 90 years ago today on a ranch near Luna, New Mexico. I'm so very grateful that she is my grandma! I have learned so much from her and she will do anything for me and my family. She has the strongest testimony of the church I have ever seen, and the sweetest personality that will melt anyone's heart. I'm so grateful that I have gotten to know her so much better over these last couple of years with her staying at my parent's house. If you haven't met her, you need to! I love her so much! She is one of my best friends. Today, I surprised her with a lot of balloons and a card and she just loved them! She loves Burger King's whoppers and can eat one whole one! She used to get one a day, but since my dad can't drive, she's not eating as many. But I told her if we were to cut her open or look inside her she would made up of whoppers! So, today I took her out to Burger King! She loved it! I made her wear the Burger King Crown and she was a great sport! Grandma, I love you so much! I hope you have many more birthdays that we can celebrate! Thank you for all you do for me!
I LOVE YOU! Happy 90th Birthday!

Scary Night
Well, I get a call from my mom when I was at work about 11:30 yesterday, taking dad to the ER...checking him for blood clots. I was in shock! He has been having trouble breathing, so his asthma doctor told my mom to take him in. Anyway, this was about the time I broke down...thinking not again! My friends comforted me at work, and then after work I went to the hospital, to be met by my mom saying get back in the car, I need you to run home and get all of his IV's stuff because he might be here at the hospital tonight. So, I did, haven't seen him yet. Anyway, run all the way home, grab the stuff and get back in the car and finally get to see my dad.
He's enjoying his spacious private room watching TV on a flat screen (new hospitals are so nice). They are taking him to get tests, and turns out that it's going to be a couple of hours. So I stick around, but then thought I needed to go home to go check on Grandma and the dogs. So I go back to my parents house (for the 2nd time---about a 20 min drive each way) and check on her, and get lucky and I'm headed to my house. I get almost to my house, and my mom says, can you back to the house and get his other medicine? We need to know all of the pills he is on. I turn around ...go back, and do that for them.
Anyway...after all that, my mom brought my dad home last night...no admittance into the hosptial...thank goodness! He just has fluid on this lungs that they increased a pill for him to get that taken care of.
So, needless to say, we're ok for now...but I had a panic attack yesterday! :)

My Color
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!
Updates
Well, nothing much is happening with me, but I thought I'd post some updates about my family.
Mom ---Mom is so busy taking care of my dad and grandma (who lives with them). She is constantly on the go, and I haven't heard her complain. She is still working full time at the high school, and we are glad her job is flexible where she can take off to take my dad to appointments :)
Dad --- Every day we see a little bit more of an approvement. He goes to physical therapy 3 times a week and still on IV's 2 times a day. I run home after work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and load him in the car and take him to physical therapy and my mom picks him up after work. This is going to be a long process, but we'll take it day by day. He went out for the first time yesterday, went to the funeral, he was sure tired after it.
Corey and Michelle and Austin---still in Vegas, I haven't talked to them in awhile, I should really call them. They might be in town this weekend :)
Monika and Michael--- Michael joined the Army 3 weeks ago, and is in boot camp. Monika is doing a great job with running her house by herself.
Me---10 more weeks of school and I can't wait! I just ordered my cap and gown! WOO HOO! I'm sick of writing papers! YUCKY! I have had a couple of friends have babies (Congrats Cammie and Jennifer) and a friend getting married soon (Congrats Jodi!!!). A couple of more friends that are pregnant (don't know if I'm allowed to mention them yet...but you konw who you are ...Congrats!) But as for me...same old boring me.....school, family, work, sleep, then rinse and repeat! JK :)

My Aunt
We got word this morning that my Aunt Claudette had passed away. She's my Granny's youngest sister. Claudette was and is an amazing woman. She's always doing everything for everyone else. She has been battling cancer for awhile. Even though we are all going to miss her terribly, she is finally free of the pain and will be able to see her daughter, mother and father, and brother again (along with many other relatives). She was a special lady. I don't have any pictures of her, but my cousins Sherida, Vonda, and Kristal have amazing tributes and pictures if you want to check them out :) We will miss you Aunt Claudette!
